In order to retrieve your password, head to our website (www.appxpert.co.uk) and click the link ‘forgotten my password’ under the log in box.


You will be prompted to enter your username and your password will be sent to the email address you registered with AppXpert. Remember to check your spam folder as the email can sometimes end up there.


If you are also unsure of your username you can email us at support@appxpert.zendesk.co.uk and we can send it to you. Make sure you give us the email address registered to your AppXpert account.

Your account will be deleted after 3 months of inactivity (no investigations completed in this time or earnings withdrawn). You will be forewarned of this via email to the email registered to your AppXpert account. Check your junk folder as sometimes it ends up there.

When it starts to near 3 months, you will be informed 3 times by email and push notifications warning you that your account will be deleted. In order to avoid this problem, you just have to complete an investigation.

Once an account is deleted, it is archived and we no longer have access to your data.

When you change device, change your settings or upgrade your iOS, you'll need to import your account in order to keep it active.


Important: When you import an account it will replace the account that was connected to the device before.


In order to properly import your account, you must first correctly register the app to your phone.


Delete the application from your phone, as well as your cookies and cache and launch AppXpert through our webapp (m.appxpert.co.uk). The app will assign you a clean, default account where you must complete the tutorial as well as the initial investigation 'Never Have I Ever'. Completing these will make sure your phone is correctly registered with the app.


From here you can import your old account with your username and password through the 'Import My Account' link in the 'My Profile' section of the side bar. Once it has been successfully imported, you need to complete another investigation ASAP in order to sync your phone with your old account.


Things to keep in mind:

  • You cannot import your account more than twice. This is a security measure to prevent hackers from gaining access to your account.
  • You cannot import your account across platforms, i.e. an import from an iPhone to an iPad is not possible, only between iPhones or between iPads.
  • You cannot have an account registered to more than one device at the same time. If you try to have more than one account on a device, you will risk one of them being deleted.


We may have to authorise your import so get in contact with us if the above steps do not work. Drop us an email at support@appxpert.zendesk.com, we will need the username of the account you want to import and the name of the default account that you are assigned when you launch AppXpert.

An investigation can be an App Investigation, a survey, a share, a like or a follow.

For each investigation completed you get XP points and/or money :

  • App investigation : 15p and 20 XP pts
  • Survey : 20 XP pts
  • Like, shares, tweets, follows, etc. : 5 XP pts per action

When a new app investigation is available, you will be notified by our push notifications, the AppXpert Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/appXpertUK) and the AppXpert twitter account (https://twitter.com/app_X_pert).


To take part in an investigation, the process is easy:

  • The list of available investigations is shown on AppXpert homepage;
  • In the investigation list, choose one of the current offers
  • Follow the instructions:
  • In case of an App Investigation, you'll be redirected towards the App Store in order to download the proposed app. To validate your participation, you have to download, investigate and test it (run through main menus and tabs, etc.) in order to form an opinion, and go back to AppXpert to answer the MCQ. Last question is generally a validation question.
  • In case of other investigation possibilities, follow the detailed instructions.

There you go, your investigation is complete! You will immediately receive a notification confirming your earnings and participation.
